HECKE on SPARC Ultra, caveats:

<li> Because of the libraries involved, people would see *MUCH* better
performance if they recompiled their own versions of hecke (or at least had
a dynamically linked version which would use their native libs).  My
statically linked version is probably the lowest common denominator of the
post-sparc2 era -- very primitive.
